Certification Procedure

To obtain GBCe’s VERDE Environmental Certificate a building must successfully pass the established Certification Process. VERDE is available to all professionals, whether members of GBC España or not, in accordance with the established schedule of fees.
 

CERTIFICATION PROCESS

 

VERDE implies a systematic evaluation of all the agents that contribute to the energetic and ecological efficiency of the building. You can find VERDE in the Tools section of our web.
 
The Certification Process includes the following steps:
 
-  Previous register of the building in the GBC España database

- VERDE evaluation, carried out by an Authorized Evaluator. This step must be done before requesting a certification

-  Apply for a certification. It must be completed by the developer or his/her representative

- Certificate application and VERDE evaluation technical revision. The results are then conveyed to the petitioner and a period for amendments opened

- Certification proposal and final verdict

- Certificate emission

 

GBCe possesses an up to date list of all our Authorized Evaluators at public disposal.

The authorized evaluator must provide:

 
a)     All the documents that have been taken into consideration in the evaluation process

b)     All the data included in the VERDE evaluation tool that justifies the results obtained

 

GBCe will examine the information provided by the petitioner and the evaluation performed by the authorized evaluator, resolving if they are acceptable or not, subsequently informing the petitioner of the final verdict.
